Exhibits on the Etruscans in Europe spring 2018

This spring you can find exhibits of interests throughout Europe. Here are a few examples.

Landesmuseum in Karlsruhe Germany have an exhibit on Etruscan culture until 17 June 2018. Many items are on display including wall paintings, Terracotta urns, The egg of the Etruscans and pottery in Buccero style. Do not miss this exhibition .

From March 15, Musée du Luxemborg will exhibit Etruscan art in their exhibit ‘Le lieu celeste. Les étrusques et leurs dieux – le sanctuaire federal d’Orvieto’ (The celestial place. Etruscans and their gods - the federal sanctuary of Orvieto).

"This project presents the spectacular results of
excavations carried out since 2000 under the
direction of Professor Simonetta Stopponi at a
site known as Campo della Fiera, a plain below
the City of Orvieto. They have uncovered a
spectacular archaeological complex spanning
over five hectares and encompassing several
temples, a “Via Sacra”, or sacred road, and a
large expanse reserved for offerings to the gods"
